Description
Originally constructed as a Moroccan caftan in the late 1970s to early 1980s, Amber Passage preserves the spirit and proportions of its first life while embracing a new function. Cut from a rare vintage Indian silk brocade, rich in paisley motifs and softened by time, its ornamental language has been respected rather than erased.
The garment has been carefully transformed into a reversible coat through the addition of a full amber-toned cashmere lining. This second face introduces warmth and weight, allowing the piece to move from ceremonial origins into everyday protection.
Finished by hand with double Moroccan sfifa on both faces, it may be worn open, closed, or reversed. Ornament and restraint coexist, each revealing a different rhythm of the same story.
Amber Passage is not an alteration, but a continuation.
