Description

Zahr El-Leil begins with a rare ceremonial brocade distinguished by oversized botanical motifs woven in shimmering gold lamé. This floral jacquard defined Moroccan celebration wear from the late 1980s through the mid-1990s, when ateliers sourced luxury brocade panels from renowned mills in Como and Lyon. Reserved for caftan skirts, tekchita ensembles, and prestigious dfina jackets, such textiles were worn for weddings and significant family occasions.

Reimagined in a contemporary silhouette, the brocade speaks with renewed clarity.

A confident V-shaped neckline is framed with delicate hand-applied l‘aqad, with matching loops sculpting the arm openings. The interior is fully doubled in smooth silk, preserving the textile’s richness while ensuring refined comfort.

The silhouette balances definition and softness, a fitted waist, clean architectural lines, and a composition that allows the gold florals to glow against the deep black ground. Every section of the original textile has been respected and transformed without compromising its dignity.

Zahr El-Leil is a nocturnal bloom, where vintage ceremony meets contemporary precision. One dress, one story, one radiant night flower.
