Description
| From the preserved ceremonial brocade that gave life to Zahr El-Leil, a second narrative emerges — this time sculpted into two contemporary forms. Crafted entirely from remaining archival panels, Eclipse Golden Garden transforms what once framed ceremony into a renewed silhouette.
The gold lamé florals, luminous against a deep black ground, evoke a garden glimpsed under eclipse — shadowed, mysterious, yet radiant at its edges. The cropped top is refined with hand-applied l‘aqad tracing the neckline and arm openings, each loop creating a subtle architectural cadence. The skirt is bordered with fine sfifa and fully doubled in smooth silk, preserving the depth and brilliance of the jacquard while elevating comfort and movement. Together, the two pieces honor the textile’s past without replicating its original form. Clean lines and deliberate proportions reinterpret ceremonial brocade through the modern language of SHAMS & KAMAR — where preservation becomes transformation and nothing is wasted. Eclipse Golden Garden is renewal shaped in shadow and gold, a composition of restraint, radiance, and purpose. |
