Description
Crafted from an archival late-1970s floral lamé brocade inspired by traditional Chinese silk weaving, SHAMS embodies pure radiance. The intricate jacquard florals and deep golden sheen reflect a cultural dialogue that once shaped Moroccan ceremonial textiles, where imported brocades met local mastery.
The silhouette is architecturally sculpted.
Structured pleated shoulders unfold like luminous folds of silk, creating volume with intention. A deep V neckline introduces modern clarity, entirely framed with hand-made la’qad, each loop placed with precision to illuminate the décolleté. The tailored waist subtly echoes the form of the Moroccan h’zam, honoring generations of craftsmanship while asserting contemporary structure.
Fully lined in satin, the interior brings softness, stability, and couture refinement to the richness of the brocade.
Cut from a single preserved ceremonial garment, SHAMS carries three histories within one form:
the elegance of Chinese-influenced weaving,
The heritage of Moroccan celebration dress,
and the sculptural language of SHAMS & KAMAR.
A signature creation of the atelier, SHAMS stands as a tribute to the sun itself — bold, golden, and unmistakably luminous.
