Description
| From the remaining panels of the same ceremonial brocade that gave life to Zahr El-Leil, another story emerges — this time in two sculpted pieces shaped entirely from preserved leftover fabric. The brocade’s gold-lamé florals, luminous against a deep black ground, form a landscape reminiscent of a garden seen under an eclipse: shadowed, mysterious, yet glowing at its edges.
The crop top is refined with hand-applied l‘aqad framing the neckline and arm openings, each loop creating a subtle architectural rhythm. The skirt is outlined with a fine sfifa border and fully doubled in smooth silk, allowing the floral motifs to retain their depth and clarity while elevating the comfort of the piece.
Together, the two garments form a contemporary silhouette that honors the textile’s past without replicating its original form. Clean lines, precise proportions, and the sheen of vintage jacquard meet the modern vocabulary of SHAMS & KAMAR — where nothing is wasted, and every remnant finds purpose.
Eclipse Golden Garden is an ode to renewal: a twin set shaped from shadows and gold, carrying the quiet elegance of night and the luminous spirit of rebirth. |
